EVRaid is developing sovereign electric vehicle technologies, including Battery Management Systems (BMS), battery packs, and E-Powertrain platforms, enabling next-generation electric mobility through world-class engineering and functional safety practices.
EVRaid looking for a Battery System Engineer to join our Battery Systems team. The successful candidate will be responsible for system requirements engineering of Battery Management Systems (BMS), ensuring complete traceability from vehicle/system requirements down to software implementation.
This role is suitable for both junior and senior engineers depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage BMS system requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Analyze stakeholder and system requirements and decompose them into software requirements. Qualify the customer needs
- Maintain complete bidirectional requirements traceability.
- Support ASPICE-compliant systems engineering activities, particularly SYS.1, SYS.2, and SYS.3.
- Collaborate closely with software, hardware, testing, and validation teams.
- Define and refine requirements for key BMS functions such as: Cell Balancing, Thermal Runaway Detection, and Thermal Propagation Mitigation
- Review requirements for quality, consistency, completeness, and testability.
- Participate in system architecture discussions and technical reviews.
- Support verification and validation activities.
Must Have
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in Automotive Systems Engineering.
- Good understanding of Battery Management Systems (BMS).
- Knowledge of ASPICE Systems Engineering processes (SYS.1, SYS.2, SYS.3).
- Experience with Requirements Engineering.
- Experience using Code beamer for requirements management.
- Understanding of system-to-software requirements decomposition.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Good English communication skills.
- Junior Engineer ( 0–3 years of experience in automotive systems or BMS engineering).
- Senior Engineer (5+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering with strong experience in BMS requirements engineering and ASPICE).
Nice to have
- Experience with lithium-ion battery systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety.
- Experience with requirement reviews and change management.
- Understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, UDS).
- Familiarity with model-based development is a plus.
