We are seeking a skilled CAE Structural Durability & NVH Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing structural durability, static, and NVH simulations for automotive interior components, with a primary focus on Instrument Panel (IP)/Dashboard systems and plastic trims. Working under the guidance of the Lead Engineer, you will build and execute finite element models using Abaqus and ANSA/HyperMesh, analyze simulation results, prepare technical reports, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality engineering solutions that meet customer and OEM requirements. Strong expertise in automotive CAE methodologies, material modeling, and structural analysis is essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
Responsibilities
- Execute durability/static/NVH load cases as assigned by the Lead Engineer — Dura: Modal Analysis, Shake/Vibration, Static loads (IP system, Display, Table PS, Hand rest, Map Pocket, Storage), Climate cycle
- Build and run Abaqus models following established methodology and boundary conditions
- Perform first-pass post-processing and prepare results for Lead Engineer review
- Maintain checklists, documentation and traceability of simulation runs
- Work under the technical guidance of the Lead Engineer
- Execution of planned tasks within the assigned shift
- Prepare and present technical reports to internal stakeholders and OEM customers
Must Have
- B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
- 4-6 years' experience in automotive CAE, with 2+ years focused on structural durability/NVH simulation of IP (dashboard) & plastic trims. IP/dashboard experience is mandatory.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Abaqus Standard (mandatory) — implicit static, modal/frequency, and nonlinear analysis.
- Proficiency in ANSA / HM pre-processor (mandatory) for model build and meshing
- Material modelling for plastics — material characterization from test data, true stress-strain conversion, *PLASTIC card preparation
- Solid grasp of connection methodology — RBE2 vs. RBE3, CBUSH bolted-joint representation, snap connections.
- Effective communication skills for customer-facing technical discussions
- Prior experience on European OEM programs will be an advantage
- Willingness to work in a shift-based execution schedule
Nice to have
- Experience in writing online content
- Additional languages
- Google Adwords experience
