We are looking for a HIL Engineer – Powertrain Systems . This role will be responsible for developing, executing, and automating Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test solutions to validate embedded software for powertrain systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance with functional safety standards.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in HIL testing environments, a solid understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, and proven expertise in Python-based test automation. This role requires the ability to bridge software validation and system engineering while driving efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement in the testing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated embedded software test cases in Python Language, including testing for diagnostic trouble codes (DTC), functional safety, and powertrain performance using the CAN protocol.
- Utilize the CAN communication protocol to ensure accurate data transmission and diagnostics in powertrain testing environments.
- Use DSpace tools (ControlDesk) for test automation, variant control, and version management.
- Employ Python and ETAS INCA API for software flashing, data logging, post-processing, and real-time data analysis.
- Software Version Control Using GitHub

Must Have
- +2 Years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Solid Python programming experience.
- Demonstrated experience with HIL bench test automation for powertrain systems.
- Proficiency in CAN communication protocol and its application in automotive embedded systems.
- Solid understanding of Python, MATLAB, INCA, ControlDesk.
