EVRaid is seeking a Senior Functional Safety Engineer to lead functional safety activities for eMotor control software and electric powertrain systems in compliance with ISO 26262. The role involves defining safety requirements, conducting safety analyses (HARA, FMEA, FTA), developing safety concepts, and supporting verification and validation activities.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure product safety, reliability, and compliance with automotive standards while contributing to the development of advanced electric powertrain technologies.

Responsibilities
- Lead functional safety activities for eMotor control software.
- Define safety requirements and mechanisms for motor control algorithms, PWM strategies, torque control, and fault handling.
- Perform safety analyses, including FMEA, FTA, and safety assessments.
- Develop and review safety concepts for control software.
- Collaborate with motor control, embedded software, and hardware engineering teams.
- Support safety verification and validation activities.
Must Have
- Extensive experience in Functional Safety Engineering and ISO 26262.
- Deep knowledge of eMotor control (MUST).
- Hands-on experience with motor control software and PWM strategies.
- Strong knowledge of PMSM/BLDC motor control and FOC.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development.
- Strong understanding of safety-critical embedded control software.
