Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Power Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our engineering team in developing innovative power electronics solutions for automotive and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in power converter design, analog and digital hardware development, and hardware validation. In this role, you will be responsible for the complete hardware development lifecycle, including design, simulation, testing, debugging, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-performance, reliable, and industry-compliant power electronic products.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop power electronics hardware for automotive and industrial applications, including AC-DC converters, DC-DC converters, Vehicle Control Units (VCU), and motor control products.
- Design, analyze, test, and validate power electronic converters.
- Develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal hardware solutions.
- Create test plans and perform hardware testing, verification, and validation.
- Bring up, debug, and validate hardware prototypes using appropriate test equipment.
- Collaborate with PCB, Mechanical, and cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Interact with customers to understand project requirements and technical objectives.
- Prepare engineering documentation, including design specifications, test reports, DFMEAs, and BOMs.
- Ensure hardware designs comply with industry qualification and EMC standards.
- Contribute independently to technical design and development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Power Electronics, ECE, EEE, EIE, or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in power electronics hardware design.
- Strong experience in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
- Hands-on experience with AC-DC and DC-DC power converter design and validation.
- Experience with microcontroller, microprocessor, or FPGA-based hardware development.
- Knowledge of communication protocols including CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, USB, and RS-485.
- Experience in hardware testing, verification, validation, and debugging.
- Familiarity with PCB layout review and hardware qualification standards.
- Experience using simulation and circuit design tools.
Must have

- Power Converter Simulation using LTspice, PSIM, MATLAB, or PLECS.
- MOSFET/IGBT Gate Driver Design.
- Experience with Microcontrollers, Microprocessors, or FPGA platforms.
- EMI/EMC compliant hardware design.
- Communication interfaces (CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, USB).
- PCB Design Review and Hardware Bring-up.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory test equipment.
- Experience using Altium or Cadence for hardware design.
Nice to have
- Experience with battery chargers and isolated/non-isolated power converter topologies.
- Knowledge of motor control systems (AC, DC, BLDC, PMSM).
- Experience with wireless communication technologies (Bluetooth, LoRa, RF, GPS).
- Component engineering, thermal analysis, efficiency optimization, and worst-case analysis.
- Control algorithm development for DC-DC converters.
- Magnetics design (inductors, transformers, magnetic materials).
- Signal conditioning and isolation circuit design.
- Knowledge of creepage/clearance, DFM/DFA, and high-voltage PCB design practices.
- Experience creating DFMEA documentation and Engineering BOMs.
- Experience working in Automotive or Industrial Electronics environments.
- Familiarity with Silicon Expert.
