Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee Production, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Technical Operations.
The ideal candidate is a senior engineering and operations leader with proven experience scaling technical manufacturing operations, driving industrialization and mass production, and strong technical knowledge of EV Powertrain Systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Production, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality activities.
- Own production planning, capacity planning, operational efficiency, cost, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Drive the industrialization and scale-up of products from prototype through mass production.
- Ensure products and manufacturing processes are production-ready, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective.
- Manage suppliers, procurement, inventory, logistics, and overall operational costs.
- Establish, monitor, and improve operational KPIs across Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Lead and develop cross-functional teams across Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Technical Operations.
- Ensure effective coordination between Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and other functions.
- Resolve critical technical, production, supplier, quality, and operational issues.
- Build scalable operational processes, systems, and teams to support rapid company growth.
- Lead production ramp-up activities and ensure successful transition from engineering to manufacturing.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure availability of critical components and materials.
- Ensure operational activities meet required quality, cost, delivery, and performance targets.
- Drive operational readiness for mass production and manufacturing scale-up.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- 15+ years of experience in Operations, Production, Manufacturing, Technical Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing large-scale production and technical teams.
- Strong background in manufacturing operations, production planning, supply chain, supplier management, and quality.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and execution skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth, and technically complex environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, operational KPIs, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Must Have
- 15+ years of relevant professional experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Production, or Technical Management.
- Strong technical knowledge of EV Powertrain Systems, including:
- Battery Packs
- Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Inverters
- DC-DC Converters
- On-Board Chargers (OBC) - Proven experience leading Production and Technical teams.
- Strong experience in Supply Chain, Supplier Management, Quality, and Manufacturing Operations.
- Proven experience taking products through Engineering → Industrialization → Production → Mass Manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with production ramp-up and scale-up.
- Strong understanding of production planning, capacity, efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical, production, supplier, and quality issues.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional management capabilities.
Nice to have
- Experience in EV, Automotive, Battery, Power Electronics, or related industries.
- Experience working within Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive suppliers.
- Previous experience in a high-growth or start-up environment.
- Experience building manufacturing operations from an early-stage/prototype environment to mass production.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience implementing and managing OEE, OTD, COGS, inventory, supplier performance, and quality KPIs.
- Experience with manufacturing quality systems and production readiness processes.
- Experience managing international suppliers and complex supply chains.
- Strong understanding of cost optimization and manufacturing economics.
